Back from the country

I've just arrived back in London - quite a shock after a week on a sheep farm in north Wales.

A rather smashing time was had by all and I have tales of adventure and plenty of photos to post. Mysterious islands, secret caves, treacherous mountain paths, lashings of rice cakes and Orangina - I promise you all these and more.

After all this excitement I fear that London may be a dreadful bore. At least I needn't worry about missing the sheep...

because three of them snuck in the car and came back with me!

I'm going to take a couple of days to readjust to city life and start desperate preparation for classes this week. In the meantime, take a look at Jason and Jean's pictures of the holiday.

Was one of my favourite trips away Joe! Thanks mate!

The car was so quiet on the way home...and I nearly fell asleep at the wheel!!

Yes - I heard about you getting busted for taking a break in the hard shoulder! I'm so glad everyone enjoyed themselves.

The three of you are endless barrels of energy... love the photo of the 'three sheeps'! Yes, Jason us "grey" corporate ones are v. dull in comparison *sigh*

I love Orangina!! Especially the blood orange one. At least I hope Orangina in the UK is what it is in Germany. (A French fruit soft drink with real pulp inside?)

Jean, after you left the cottage it wasn't all action. More like long periods of laziness interspersed with short bursts of silliness and immaturity.

Knuffy's Owner, Jason is the expert on Orangina but I think it's the same. I haven't seen the blood orange version though.

I still remember when I visited Shanghai and you opened that bottle you had brought from France - it was such a special occasion!

Have you disabled the comment function on your blog? I just read your latest entry and was shocked by the nudity!

Hi Knuffy's Owner, - yes Orangina is the same as it is in France!!!

It is my favourite european softdrink...though I have a soft spot for Germany's Mezzo Mix! Ha Ha.

I have not seen the blood orange Orangina available in UK yet though...

I forgot that you got to know Orangina when we were in Shanghai! That was brought to us courtesy of Seb's classmate from France.

In France, they have MANY different types of Orangina: the normal orange one, blood orange, pineapple, lime, a "spicy" one with ginger, and pink grapefruit. Since Seb lived only 20 mins from France, we'd bus it over and bring home some Orangina as a special treat : )

Btw, I have rectified the comments problem. Sorry for the nudity, I forgot that you could enlarge the photos!

Hah. You may have had sheep but I've just been away too and we had llamas. And a kangaroo. And highland cattle.

Oh, and lots of cake.

Apparently there are red squirrels there too. We didn't see any but that's a clue as to where I was!

Hehe... either you weakened and had some very non-local produce or you were in a very magical place.

I would say it was the Isle of Wight but since you also mentioned Highland cattle maybe it was Scotland?

Cal said...

Give the boy a gold star. Isle of Wight it was. And you're right the Highland Cattle are a long way from home!

(Not as far the llamas mind you)

Who needs a brain when you've got google! Did you eat the squirrels as well or just the llamas, kangaroos and cattle?
